The building is under state protection and is a cultural monument. Tartu maantee 24 is part of a block of Stalinist apartment buildings built for the workers of the factory “Dvigatel”, designed in 1947-1956 by the architect A. Kriak. It was built in 1947 by Aleksandr Vlassov.
