The apartment is ideal for living for someone who appreciates the charms of Laitse Castle, as well as for investment purposes.
HISTORY OF LAITSE CASTLE
Laitse manor, with the German name Laitz, began as an independent manor in 1642, when it was separated from Ruila manor. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were 14 manors in the parish of Nissi.
Laitse is around thirty km southwest of Tallinn, has already been mentioned in Henrik’s Liivimaa chronicle – there it is as a village called Ladis, where the crusaders arrived in the bitter cold at the end of February 1219 and where they stayed for the night. For a long time, the village belonged to the Ruila Order Manor, and together with it, in the spring of 1622, it was gifted to Johann Ulrich, the purveyor of Riga.
Laitse remained in the hands of the Ulrichs with few breaks until 1814, when it was inherited by the Mohrensehilds. The imposing Neo-Gothic manor house in Laitsa was built around 1890 by Woldemar von Uexküll.
However, Uexküll kept Laitse in his hands only until 1909, because he could not bequeath it to his only son, who had been expelled from the knighthood, while his daughter had moved abroad. This is how the manor ended up in the hands of the Bremens.
PLANNING AND INTERIOR FINISH
The apartment with a size of 39.5 square meters is located on the third floor of Laitse Castle. At the moment, the apartment is divided into two separate rooms, each of which has its own entrance from the corridor. One part consists of a separate room, the other part has a bedroom-livingroom with a bathroom-toilet.
There are no load-bearing walls between the rooms, so it is possible to change the layout easily.
In the apartment, history and the dignity of Laitse Castle meet in the most genuine form. This is a home where modern solutions are perfectly matched with historical elements in a rustic style.
The high ceilings, thick limestone walls, rustic wooden floors and solid wooden windows with wooden window sills add to the nostalgic feel of the Laitse castle apartment.
The selection of finishing materials used in the construction has taken into account the historical details preserved in the apartment, creating a harmonious whole. The result is an apartment with a historical feel and clearly distinct.
