Description

The apartment is logistically ideally located just a short walk from the heart of the city, close to public transport and easily accessible.

THE HOUSE

At the beginning of the last century, H.Citron and J.Halbreich built a glass factory and a copper foundry on the property with an elevated central shaft. In 1936, the building was taken over by the Standard-Nool boot factory. In 1960, the basilica-style industrial building was converted into a teaching workshop.

In 2021, the historic building at Vabriku 59 was given a new lease of life, creating a pleasant and homely living environment with a large courtyard area.

The building’s dignified past will be remembered through tall and spacious windows, a high ceiling on the ground floor and walls that will be fronted from the inside, leaving some of the historic structures open and revealing the solutions of the past.

A large fenced courtyard with a playground and plenty of greenery provides opportunities for barbecues, reading books and playing with children. Kalamaja Park is nearby, with a playground for children of all ages and a bench to play on.

The space is further enhanced by nearly a metre wide window sills, the lower ones of which are covered with wood, creating comfortable seating areas.

The interior is decorated with quality materials and cosy, matching colours inspired by the atmosphere of the historic house. The brightness is brought in by the light oak parquet flooring, the spaciousness by the high concrete ceilings and the contrast of the elegant black and rust grey details and furniture. Bathroom walls and floors are covered with neutral ceramic tiles. The interior designer’s aim was to create a modern, exciting and beautiful interior where people feel comfortable.
