HOUSE

The 5-storey Spacecube building was developed by Scandium Kinnisvara in 2018. The solar panels on the roof and the distinctive façade are what make SpaceCube stand out and be remembered. The house offers comfortable solutions and the details that are typical of a technology city, which make living in SpaceCube a memorable experience. The area is home to a large number of young professionals studying and working in the area, who need good quality, smaller than average living space, and this is exactly what SpaceCube offers today. The cherry on the cake is the distinctive design and the large lofts. The Tallinn University of Technology, 700 metres away, played an important role in shaping the story of the house, helping to launch Estonia’s first satellite EstCube into space.

The apartment is on the 4th floor and the front door is locked. Security is further enhanced by a padlock and a security alarm system. The association organises external window cleaning, the garbage dump is kept in good order, garbage is sorted and waste management is well organised.

The exterior walls and floors of the five-storey apartment building are made of reinforced concrete panels, which means that the apartments in the building have good sound insulation against both external and internal noise. The exterior walls keep the building warm even in the coldest winter months. The staircase designed inside the house is clean and well maintained. The corridor floors are carpeted.

PLANNING AND FINISHING

The 43.5 m² studio apartment on the fifth floor is spread over two floors, characterised by an abundance of light and a carefully considered layout. High ceilings (approx. 5 m), high triple-glazed windows (approx. 3 m) and overhanging windowsills add spaciousness and character. The windows overlook the park.

The apartment consists of: living room-kitchen, hall, toilet/bathroom and 1 bedroom.

The interior is finished with high quality materials and neutral colours.

The floors are covered with long-lasting and easy to maintain wooden parquet. The walls and floors of the toilet/bathroom are covered with ceramic tiles.

FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT

The apartment is rented with the furnishings as shown in the picture.

The functional kitchen furniture is fitted with high quality kitchen appliances. The kitchen has ample cutting surfaces, large cupboards and drawers.

There is also an Electrolux washer/dryer in the apartment.

On entering the apartment, there is a spacious wardrobe in the hallway on the left hand side with spacious drawers, a shoe rack and a large mirror. In the living room you can relax on the soft fold-out sofa. Under the staircase leading to the second floor there is a large and closed storage room. In the bedroom (on the second floor) there is a double bed with a wide mattress and a large linen drawer, and a large wardrobe with a mirror. The adjoining first bedroom is empty and can be furnished to the tenant’s taste.

HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING

The energy class C building has an active and smartly managed housing association and reasonable utility costs. The building has central central heating, electric underfloor heating in the toilet/bathroom and natural ventilation. In addition, there are solar panels on the roof of the house, which help to keep heating costs low. All readings are remote readable, so there is no need to submit any reading every month. There is also air conditioning in the apartment in case it gets too hot in the summer.

The house is wired for fibre internet.

PARKING

The apartment comes with one parking space in front of the house. Guests have the possibility to park free of charge in the parking lot next to the house. There is also a locked bicycle shed right next to the front door.

ENVIRONMENT

The Spacecube building is located near Männiparg and 700m from Tal/Tech and Technopolis, where many forward-looking young people gather. The campus is home to a number of start-ups and Skype’s headquarters. There are also parcel robots roaming around.

All of these young people, from Estonia and around the world, need inspiring, exciting and affordable places to live, and that’s exactly what SpaceCube offers.

Everything is conveniently close to the apartment building, yet it’s secluded enough.

The surrounding area offers plenty of excellent sporting opportunities for both professional and amateur athletes, with fitness tracks, parks and outdoor gyms. The nearest gyms are in Mustamäe Myfitness, Akadeemia tee 24-7 fitness and Tehnopol Gym!. Just an easy walk away are the Mustika and Mustamäe Centres and the Mustamäe Entertainment Centre with SPA and the largest bowling centre in Estonia. There are several places to eat for all tastes nearby and many grocery stores (Prisma, Rimi, Coop, Maxima XX). The trolleybus and bus stops are just a 4-minute walk away. The nearest public transport stops (Keskuse and Ehitajate tee) are just 200 metres from the front door. And just a 15-minute drive away, Tallinn’s city centre further expands your leisure options.

One month’s rent in advance, a deposit (equal to one month’s rent) and a broker’s commission (equal to one month’s rent), plus VAT, are payable before the rental contract is signed.
