HOUSE

The architect of the 6-storey apartment building at Narva maantee 31 is Miia Masso, the building was completed in 1987. The building was commissioned by the Estonian Shipping Company to be used as an apartment building. Coming from the Pirita side, the building is a striking introduction to the densely built-up area of the city centre. The building is one of the most vigorous post-modernist influenced apartment buildings of the 1980s in the centre of Tallinn. The façade design is reminiscent of modern cruise ships.

The courtyards are designed as terraces. The staircases, kitchens and living rooms are on the street side, the bedrooms on the courtyard side.

The apartment building has a padlock system and the front door is locked. The staircases are well maintained and clean. There is a lift for easy access.

PLANNING AND FINISHING

The open-plan apartment on the 3rd floor is both cosy and spacious.

The bedrooms open onto a quiet courtyard, while the living room and kitchen overlook a low-traffic street. Both bedrooms have access to an 8 square metre balcony.

Light and natural colours have been used throughout the interior, creating a modern, yet warm and homely feel. The cosiness is added by the use of colourful furniture. The apartment is sunny, with morning and afternoon sun in the living room and kitchen, and evening sun in the bedrooms and balcony.

The bathroom and toilet have ceramic tiles on the floor and walls. The floors are covered with light and freshly oiled natural oak parquet.

FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT

The apartment is rented furnished. It has all the necessary furnishings for living.

The functional kitchen furniture includes high-quality AEG kitchen appliances: induction hob, oven, dishwasher, extractor hood and fridge-freezer.

The spacious living room has a sofa and a dining table with chairs. The bathroom has a Hoover washing machine. In the master bedroom and hallway there are spacious wardrobes.

REFRIGERATION

The heating in the C energy label apartment building is based on central heating. Utility costs are reasonable.

PARKING

LOCATION

There is a lot of greenery and plenty of leisure and sporting opportunities around the apartment building. Kadriorg Park and Reidi Tee promenade are a short walk away.

The building is logistically ideally located – just a short walk to the heart of the city. The tram and bus stop L. Koidula is only 150 metres away, from where you can easily get to the city centre as well as Pirita/Kadrioru/Lasnamäe.

The nearest grocery store is Selver, 580 m away. Within a short walking distance you will also find the Viru Centre, Kaubamaja, Coca-Cola Plaza and Tallinn Old Town with all its dining and entertainment venues.

Tallinn University is a few minutes’ walk away and the nearest kindergarten is only 100 m away.
